With each order, I hope you get that warm and fuzzy feeling deep down inside because you’re helping support this project. (And you get some cool stuff…) It’s because of YOU that I can make more freakishly rad and amazing plants available as they are created and grown out!
And as always, I appreciate your support. Really. I thank you.
About the plants…
The plants are from my personal collection, and are young plants between 2-4 years old, approaching flowering maturity. In fact, a handful of the plants this young have already flowered for me. They are large enough to fill a 3 inch pot. Some cases 4 inch pots. They are not divisions but rather seed grown individual plants. Most are of my own crossing, and others are from seed that my friends have sent to me in the past few years.
Each plant is unique bearing some the resemblances of both parents. Some may look more like one parent, and some more like the other. Once again, each of these plants are quite unique with no two being exactly alike. With complex hybrids, it’s always a surprise and you never know what you’ll get! There is a lot of variation from one end of the spectrum to the other with hybrids. I hope you enjoy!
Feel free to scour the vast archive labyrinth of this blog for photos. I won’t have any current photos as the plants are dormant n’ fugly… oh and the pitchers are all crispy. I will try to update this page as often as I can — but with that recent move, oh man. It will be some time before I get fully organized.
As always, check out the CP Photo Finder to get an idea of what the parent plants may look like.
Payment:
Paypal works just grand. As soon as I confirm that the plants are available, I’ll email you details. Questions? Or you wanna just send me money to donate to this noble cause? Do so here: sales [at] thepitcherplantproject.com
Shipping:
Shipping and handling will be $5 for up to 3 plants. An additional $1.50 will be added for up to 3 plants thereafter. For larger orders (say 12+ and up), please contact me to inquire for shipping and handling costs.
I’ll ship via USPS.
Please note that the sales are only within the USA. Plants will be shipped bare root, with pitchers trimmed so please be prepared to pot and care for your plant upon arrival.
I will typically ship on the Monday or Tuesday following receipt of cleared funds. If your weather conditions do not permit shipment of live plants, please let me know and I will gladly accommodate shipping schedule for a more favorable time.
A Few Other Things Worth Noting…
Bare Roots
To the beginner – bear in mind that this ain’t instant gratification. Gardening rarely is. Shipping bare root is shipping the thing with little or no potting media. Again, please be prepared to pot and care for your plant. It will send up new pitchers for you with the proper love and care that all Sarracenia deserve. And yo, if you got questions, feel free to drop me a line and say hello. Or also check out my friends links under “shop carnivores” for their care sheets – they provide you a plethora of information!
Return/Exchanges…
Sorry, no returns/exchanges — all sales final. That said, I still strive to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. I’ll pack the plants with best of care, and lots of lovin’ — however in the unfortunate and tragic event that the plant dies in transit (hey, it can happen), email me and we can work something out. Once the plant arrives, it will be up to you to care for it and to grow it. Again, all questions are welcome. I will answer to the best of my ability and I can and point you to some other amazing individuals and resources for help. I want to share the joy of growing these plants and make sure you are successful!
Looking for something?
If there’s a plant you are looking for, let me know. If I don’t have a spare, I can also ask a few folks I know for ya! + Stay tuned! I’ll be listing my extra plants for sale here! So check back often!
No Poaching!
The plant material I distribute is propagated by me. I have not, and do not collect field specimens for propagation, for sale, or for any other purpose. I do not sell plants or seeds that have been field collected by me or my contacts to fill plant orders.
Now get out there and plant something!

Thanks for looking and happy growing!
