Sarracenia “Pink Eye” – beautiful, tall, and elegant hybrid involving Sarracenia alata and Sarracenia leucophylla. This plant originated from Brooks Garcia. When the pitcher first opens up, it is a stunning combination of green, white, complimented with fine dark veins running throughout the upper portion. As it ages, the nectar roll fills in with the mischievous pink color. So awesome, it almost makes me itch!

A relatively fresh pitcher before it turns pink.

It is interesting how differently plants behave under different conditions. Here the entire back of the throat turns pink thus, the name “Pink Eye”
Very cool! Next year should boast some great coloration. It’s still coloring up!
Great plant Brooks!
A combination of the most bland and the most showy sarracenia has never turned out so well…It’s beautiful!
Oh! S. alata can be quite beautiful in it’s own way – a nice steadfast and calm quiet confidence about that plant – so many different forms out there! S. alata x leuco combos can come up with some very nice things!
Great looking plant! Seeing these pictures might influence my seed purchases from Brooks when the list comes out…searching for that Pink Eye…
Thanks!
Brooks has some amazing things and you never quite know what you’ll get. Lots of great surprises locked up in those tiny grey/brown kernels!
Please Put me on the list for one of these
