Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
I know I’m putting this up late and for those of you in other time zones, it aint St. Patty’s day anymore. Anywhoo, for St. Patty’s day, the green feature is an anthocyanin free courtii, and it’s flower is just starting to open! YAY! Took this photo today… I am looking forward to hybridizing with this one again this year! Woohoo! Go Green!

I need help to grow Sarracenia as gorgeous as yours. I only have one and it is currently in my plant ICU and barely holding on to life. The pitchers were flourishing and then the big ones started to die. I took them out and now there are only small pitchers that are obviously not healthy. Nothing was changed in care between the flourishing and onset of deterioration.
Hi Bom! What seems to be going on with it? To get a better idea of your scenario, can you tell me where do you grow them and what are the conditions? Do you have photos you can share? Sarracenias will go through a period of dormancy in the winter, having all their pitchers die back to the rhizome. It is completely normal for them to do this during the winter months and have them come back in the spring. However, with this said, I don’t really know how people address their dormancy in the tropics. I’ve heard of some people using the fridge but not sure about all the particulars behind that method. I’ll ask around and find out for you!
