Beauty, <a href=\"http:\/\/thepitcherplantproject.com\/blog\/2011\/08\/15\/sexuality-in-the-garden-fatal-seduction\/\" target=\"_blank\">seduction<\/a> (um, yeah that&#8217;s a NSFW link), devious trapping prowess&#8230; acoustic <a href=\"http:\/\/news.sciencemag.org\/plants-animals\/2015\/07\/carnivorous-plants-sound-echoes-draw-bats\" target=\"_blank\">echo location<\/a> skills, and even glow in the dark skills just to name a few &#8211; they never cease to amaze. Heck, carnivorous plant skills even rival <B><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=XsiiIa6bs9I\" target=\"_blank\">THIS DUDE&#8217;S impressive list of skills<\/a><\/b>. Anyway, ever since I saw <a href=\"http:\/\/voices.nationalgeographic.com\/2013\/02\/25\/carnivorous-plants-glow\/\" target=\"_blank\">this in Nat Geo<\/a>, I&#8217;ve been inspired to shoot around with these plants in 254nm UV light.<\/p>\n<p>You can see some of my other posts here: <a href=\"http:\/\/thepitcherplantproject.com\/blog\/2013\/09\/17\/nepenthes-in-different-light\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nepenthes: In Different Light<\/a>,  <a href=\"http:\/\/thepitcherplantproject.com\/blog\/2013\/10\/05\/the-red-queen-glows-blue\/\" target=\"_blank\">Red Queen Glows Blue<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/thepitcherplantproject.com\/blog\/2015\/01\/29\/nepenthes-robcantleyi-in-uv-light\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nepenthes robcantleyi in UV Light<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, the amazing <a href=\"https:\/\/nitrogenseekers.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Barden<\/a> sent over a few more beautiful botanical gems (THANK YOU PAUL!!) and I couldn&#8217;t pass up the opportunity of putting them under some black light and getting a long exposure going. Now, this isn&#8217;t your typical black light I&#8217;m using. These photos are shot using a specific 254nm wavelength UV light as I&#8217;ve referenced in my other posts above.<\/p>\n<p>Check these beauties out!
